Art, and the creative process to get there is really the art of seeing and noticing what’s around you. As my mother has told me since I was a child, I notice things that others can’t see. Leonardo Da Vinci said it best “The artist sees what others only catch a glimps of.” My job is to create something that shows what others might miss.
June Michel is an award winning illustrator, graphic designer and photographer from the Gun Barrel City, Texas area. She received her BFA from The University of North Texas in 1988, but has been an artist her whole life. June began her career as a graphic designer and has won numerous awards for her work. Some of those awards include recognition in Creative Quarterly, Print Magazine, Graphis, The Art Directors Annual, as well as a few nods from the Dallas Society of Visual Communications. She then followed her passion and dream to become a full-time illustrator, fine artist and now a full-time real estate photographer and has not looked back. Just a few of June’s clients have included The Chicago Tribune, Southwest Airlines Magazine, Pepsi, JC Penny, Comedy Central, Nike, Night Hawk Foods and many more. June has also been featured in a couple of galleries showcasing her fine art and large scale paintings. Artist. Visionary.
